We’re in Costco just about every week, and while our cart definitely has its fair share of treats, we are always on the lookout for healthier options too. For us, “clean eating” isn’t about strict rules or cutting out entire food groups—it’s simply about choosing foods with short ingredient lists, less processing, and more of the good stuff like whole grains, lean proteins, and fresh produce.
And here’s the thing: you don’t have to spend a fortune to eat this way. Costco makes clean eating easier (and cheaper!) because you can stock up on staples in bulk and know you’re getting good value for real, wholesome foods.
Here are some of our favorite Costco clean eating picks that we buy again and again.
Grains & Pantry Staples
1. Brown Rice & Millet Noodles

2. Organic Brown Rice
A 12.5-pound bag might sound intense, but it’s totally manageable if your family eats rice often. What I love is that it’s organic and parboiled—so it cooks faster than traditional brown rice. (Because let’s be real, who has 45 minutes to wait for rice on a weeknight?)
These are a game-changer if you’re looking for a cleaner alternative to ramen or stir-fry noodles. With just a handful of ingredients, they’re wholesome and tasty. Just be sure to follow the directions on the package—the texture turns out way better if you do.
3. Organic Quinoa
This is one of the best value buys in the entire store. A 4.5-pound bag of Kirkland Signature Organic Quinoa is only $9.99, while my local grocery store charges $4.69 for just one pound. Plus, quinoa isn’t just a dinner side—I add it to salads, soups, and even use it in breakfast muffins.
4. Dried Lentils
Simple, clean, and protein-packed. Lentils are one of those budget-friendly staples that make it easy to whip up soups, curries, or hearty salads.
5. Organic Canned Beans

Costco sells big packs of black beans, red beans, and chickpeas. The ingredients are as simple as they get, and all you need to do is give them a rinse before tossing them into salads, tacos, or bowls.
Dairy & Dairy Alternatives
6. Kirkland Signature Greek Yogurt

This is one of our repeat buys every trip. At $6.99 for three pounds, it beats grocery store prices, and the quality is impressive. It’s thick, creamy, and tangy—the perfect base for smoothies, parfaits, or even a substitute for sour cream.
7. Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk
When it comes to clean eating, the key is unsweetened. Costco sells a 3-pack of half-gallons for $10.99, which is a steal compared to most grocery stores. I keep it stocked for oatmeal, smoothies, and baking.
Proteins & Seafood
8. Chicken Thighs & Breasts

Costco’s chicken packs are pre-portioned for easy defrosting although our family of four often needs two for dinner. The price per pound is tough to beat, and it’s a reliable source of lean protein.
9. Ground Chicken & Ground Turkey
Both are clean, versatile, and great for swapping into recipes that call for ground beef. I use them for stir-fries, tacos, or even meatballs.
10. Ground Beef & Steak
Costco’s meat section has plenty of clean options. I like to look for the leaner ground beef when I’m in “clean eating mode,” but the steaks are great too—especially if you’re buying for the grill.
11. Kirkland Signature Wild Pacific Cod
This wild-caught fish is mild, flaky, and cooks up in minutes. It’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
12. Wild Gulf Shrimp

Another freezer staple. They’re already peeled and deveined, so dinner is basically halfway done before you even start cooking.
Nuts, Seeds & Nut Butters
13. Nuttzo Organic 7 Nut & Seed Butter
This is a fun twist on nut butter—made with a blend of almonds, cashews, chia seeds, flaxseeds, and more. It’s crunchy, nutrient-dense, and great on toast, oatmeal, or just straight off the spoon.
14. Kirkland Signature Organic Almond Butter

Clean, simple, and no added sugar or oils. Just 100% almonds in a big jar for a really good price. There’s a green-topped version, too. That just means it’s organic, still clean eating approved.
15. Kirkland Signature Unsalted Mixed Nuts
Cashews, almonds, hazelnuts, and walnuts—unsalted and ready for snacking. I love keeping a jar of these in the pantry for a grab-and-go protein boost.
Drinks & Extras
16. Vintage Seltzer Water
No sweeteners, no additives—just sparkling water. It’s one of my favorite ways to add a little variety without reaching for soda or juice.
17. Frozen Veggies & Fruit (Bonus!)
Costco rotates its frozen produce selection, but I almost always keep a bag of organic frozen broccoli or blueberries on hand. They’re great for smoothies, sides, or meal prep.
