We’re die-hard Costco fans. Our whole brand is built on sharing the best food finds in the warehouse! But believe it or not, there’s one pantry staple we never toss in our cart: Costco Kosher Salt.

Now, don’t get us wrong—we’re all for buying pantry basics in bulk. And yes, we use kosher salt daily. But when it comes to Costco Kosher Salt, it’s a hard pass from us. Why? Because Costco only carries Morton’s, and not the gold standard: Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt.

You might be thinking, “Isn’t all salt the same?” Not even close.

Let’s break it down. First, kosher salt is a favorite among chefs and home cooks alike for its texture and taste. Its large flakes are easy to pinch and sprinkle (cue Salt Bae), and it doesn’t have the iodine or additives found in regular table salt. The result? Cleaner flavor and better control.
